Safety is Our Priority
The safety of the businesses within our district is our number one priority. Since our inception in 1993, we have created initiatives and worked tirelessly to reduce the crime rate and create a safe environment within our district.
This is achieved by not only providing security to the small and local businesses, but also by area beautification efforts including removing graffiti, planting trees and repaving streets.
Our continued dedication and commitment to the community we love will help transform this area of Long Beach encouraging new business development and growth in the community.
Dedicated to Our Community
The Industrial areas more than 700 members (east and west of the Los Angeles River) generate substantial tax revenues for the city which is crucial when looking toward the future developments in the tourism and hospitality industry.
We realize the port of Long Beach is strategically located to benefit the community now and in the future as a large portion of the city’s economy is driven by product distribution through its ports.
This is one of the main reasons that MIG came to be- to continue to make the safe and efficient movement of materials through their docks benefitting the community as they grow and branch out economically.
Providing Security to the District
The Magnolia Industrial Group not only cares about the safety of their district, but also the security.
There are over 100 property owners within the district, all which contribute to the MIG and make up the MIG’s community. As a result, we are able to contract with a private security firm to help keep the Westside safe, especially at night.
Our growing partnership with the City of Long Beach and the Long Beach Police Department has helped us work together to reduce prostitution, theft, and vandalism.
